In the 1930s and again in the 1950s, a combined total of 800 cherry blossom trees were gifted to the city of Vancouver from two Japanese mayors. This was done as a token of good friendship between 2 nations and as a way of honouring the Japanese Canadians who served in WWI. Those trees now line many of Vancouver’s streets, and they flourish every Spring and add a newfound colour to what some might call an otherwise gloomy city. The cherry blossoms are loved by locals and tourists alike, so when we received these beautiful styled shoot photos from a team all the way in Kansas City, Missouri, we couldn’t help but feel a sense of familiarity.
Chanel wore our Geneva dress for this Japanese inspired vow renewal session. Perhaps we're biased, but its breezy chiffon ruffles and lightweight lace are a perfect match for the setting here: a light-soaked room, Pinterest-worthy tablescape, and an adorable hubby. As always, we’re honoured to be included in moments like these.
